I noticed when i bought the car, the side mirrors would automatically tilt downward (to see the wheel and curb side) when the car is in reverse gear.

It kinda annoyed me at the beginning because I always want to see the surrounding as well (with it tilted down, i can only see the ground and wheels). I wished it gone.

Now it stops doing that... I dont know if I tweaked some settings in the car (but i tried looking for that option), but i kinda miss it and it'd be cool to have option like that.

Could it be the faulty mirror ? It still moves around when I adjust them with the the buttons in the car.

 

Set the switch to the right and the right mirror will tilt down and to the left for left mirror. You probably have the switch in the middle which stop both from moving.

thanks for this post! just noticed my mirror wasnt tilting anymore...sure enough, switch is in the middle position.
