Outside temp issue

Today, must outside temp reading is stuck on 78*. I know that it is way wrong, cuae I live in Florida; and it's August; and its hot as hell out. I am going to try pulling battery for 15 minutes to see if it resets. has anyone lese ever had this problem?

I've never had that happen, but just guessing maybe some debris got stuck on the sensor? I'm pretty sure the sensor is mounted just off the frame, right behind the front grill. I'd make sure it is clean. My old CL was there at least. Never looked for sure on this one.

Also, just FYI, not the cause here of course, but you can adjust the temp +/- 3 degrees in the menu of the smaller display in-between the tach and speedo. I find it always runs a bit hotter than actual temp, even on the highway when engine heat is not an issue.
