Oil leak huge repair estimate, seeking advice
I just got an oil leak diagnosis done at the Honda dealer I go to.
They said my oil pump housing is leaking, which will cost $1500 to repair.
In addition my rear main seal is also leaking, which they say would cost $1700 to repair.
Lastly, the day before I went in, my Knock sensor error code came up, dealer says rodent chewed the wires and it will cost $650.
I will speak to them later about the relative severity of these problems, but if I were to prioritize one or the other, is it possible to say which is more important?
My instinct would be that the oil pump housing should be done first.
Thanks.

the problem is; you're visiting the STEALERSHIP.
you should bring a lot of lube any time you visit the STEALERSHIP.
Because they will bend you backwards.
Go to an Independent shop and they'll be able to take care of you for less than $700
prioritizing; which one leaks MORE? if its the rear main seal that has a heavier leak, then get that changed first.
if the oil filter housing gasket is leaking more; get that changed first.
But again, if you go to a mom and pop mechanic shop, they'll do both!!!
my rear main seal AND oil filter housing gasket and Cam shaft seal is leaking. I have left it like this for 2 years now...
no harm as long as you watch oil level...fill oil when low
oh, my garage floor has oil spots...so, yeah...a little harm to my garage floor
