Occasional failure to connect to Bluetooth
Occasional failure to connect to Bluetooth
Not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but I've noticed that on occasion, when I go to dial out, the readout for "Connected Phone" displays "None". Most time, I get in, start-up, and my phone connects without a hitch. It's just every so often (maybe once every two or three weeks) that it won't connect. Looking at the phone, the blue led (denoting bluetooth connection) lights up, and the phone displays "connected", but I can't dial out.
I've tried turning bluetooth on the phone off and then on again, and have even done soft reboots of the phone. The only thing that consistently works is to stop the engine and restart. Sadly, when this happens (connection failure) it seems to be the only time I get nothing but green lights, and invariably get to my destination without having stopped.
The car is an '09 TL with Tech, and the phone is a Blackberry 9900.
If someone knows why this is happening, or has a more effective fix, I'd love to hear about it.
