Just picked up my new white 2014 TL Tech 2WD end of Dec 2013.

Drove it for a few days, discover the right fender has a small paint bubble. So off to the dealer last week to get it fixed.

Dealer sent it to the auto body place, now the bubble is gone but there are many other specs of dust particles around the repainted front passenger panel in the paint. Also, some area appears the paint underneath is floating. The paint on the left area near the door edge is very rough.

Doesn't sound normal.

So I guess another date to the auto body shop tomorrow.

Any suggestions or how to deal with this?

I had 2 other Acuras without these paint problems and this is the first, it's that common on TLs?

I guess the dealer that sold it got away with a paint car?

Take it to the best body shop in town and get a second opinion.

 

sounds like the body shop was sloppy in their work. emphasize to the dealer that you don't want the car back until the paint is near perfect and flawless. the more you let them know how anal you are about the car (esp a new one) without being a jerk, then they should pass along those expectations to the body shop. however....be careful...some dealers may use a guy that just comes to the dealer and sets up a tent to do minor paint work. did the car really go to the body shop for the work done?
