Moving to Germany

.... and I need to know whether I should bring my 2011 TL SH-AWD with me.

Will service - and more importantly, parts availability - be a problem?

parts may be harder to come by but the Honda Legend uses similar parts and mostly the same engine stuff. Gas there is nuts! Another member has a TL-S there

Get parts from Russia. They have Acura these days. I'm sure you can order online.

Time to get a BMW? Parts should be cheaper there, right?

Russia only gets Acura SUVs not sedan, so sedan parts may not be available there. You may need to get your parts from China.

The plan is to go there with the Acura and come home with a BMW or Audi.

Doubt there are disks to update your navi to Euro maps. I looked at that scenario a while back for Italy and found it is impossible to update. Unless you find a way?

So, if you own the tech or elite/advance models there is a good change nobody is going to buy the car with a navi screen that doesn't show anything.

Doesn't the 25 year US import rule still apply when trying to get the "new" car back stateside?

Thanks for pointing this out. You are correct - I called Acura, and there is no way to make the Nav system work in Europe, so it looks like I'll be selling here before I depart.

Thanks to all who responded.

BTW, halls120, if you look around the net there are a lot of high power cars very cheap in Germany, mostly re-imported back from Euro countries that have gone belly up. So shop around and you'll see what I mean.
