Keyless Starting System Issue

Hey All,

I'm looking to see if anyone can give some insight as to what the problem may be with my 4G TL.

I had a AutoMate Remote Starter Installed by my Acura dealer two days ago and have had no issues until today.

I remotely started my car from the inside of the Target, checked out, and jumped in the car.

I open the door, engine shuts off as expected. (Security Feature) I then fire up the car and get an error pop up in the Diagnostic menu on the nav display. It states: "Keyless Starting System may not be working. If you turn off vehicle, it may not start again". Every minute or so, it would flash a keyless system error on the MID on the gauge cluster and the indicator on the cluster for the keyles system starts flashing and beeping like crazy.

Luckily, the car starts up still. If not, I'd be dead as its -15 in Chicago right now. Did the dealer damage the car? Am I going to have electrical issues? I'm scared shitless as this car has not had ONE ELECTRICAL ISSUE! Should I file a police report?

Any and all input is appreciated. This car is my baby and I'm very scared they royally f'd my car up! My SA has one in his car, no issue. He recommended the automate over the Acura starter due to further range and features.

Thanks AZine family!

Bring the car back to the Acura dealership and tell them to fix it for good.

Don't worry about any damage, because that dealership is responsible to repair and replace any damaged control units.

Yikes. I agree it needs to go back to the dealer. Quick.

If it won't start, the tow bill is on them.

It takes 2 second for the shut off cycle to really shut down the ignition. When you open the car and hop in the keyless signal is still on and you started the car too quickly.
No need for dealer.
Second line down.
