So I got a new 09 Acura TL and went to go eat and the dang valet scratched the plastic piece near the homelink buttons on the top of the interior.

I tried Mothers Plastic polisher and that didnt work. What else can i do?

Or should I just replace the plastic piece by buying a new one. I tried looking for the part number to see how much it would cost, any ideas?

 

First of all, Welcome and congrats on the new ride! Be sure to post in the 4G owners section, and put down your model and accessories for us so we don't have to ask questions. I'd get the valet service to pay for whatever you do, those bastards! How the hell did they do that? Man that just really sucks.

Dont valet, they do everything with the keys in their hands, and dont realize they scratch everything. Tip em and pick your spot instead. I'd buy the piece, nothing else you can really do. Go to an Acura dealer. Congrats and good luck.

@Hoowzer - did you ever find a way to fix the scratch? My kids scratched the interior door handle in my car - I got an Toupe interior. The scratch is about 1 inch long, tried some armor all but that didnt help.

 

Nope...the scratch is still there. I've learned to live with it... I dont think the plastic can be covered up unless I totally replace the plastic piece for ~$30-40 bucks.

 

i looked on a acuraautomotiveparts.org, and looks like you have to buy the whole assembly, and you cant just get the bezel...try the dealer and hope i am wrong...the whole set up cost like 300 bucks...
