Interior Lights

I was just curious if it was possible to just turn on the rear lights without turning on the front lights too. For some reason, after I turn on the front lights, I can turn off the back lights too but I can't turn them on..

It's quite annoying when someone in the backseat needs light for something and atleast 3 of them of to be on.

I'm curious about that one too? How do you turn on the back reading lights without having all four go on? I also noticed that the back reading lights are rather cheaply housed?

Yea it's quite frustrating..waste of energy and bulb life. Anybody have any idea how we can go in and maybe do some wiring..or maybe an e-mail to Acura?

The SH-AWD I'm driving has buttons for each of those lights that rear passengers can use.

So you have individual light control for a standard four seating position with the overhead lights?

Yes. In the back, each light has a black button with a pictograph on the outboard edges. I neglected to say the SH-AWD I'm driving is a Tech, if that makes any difference.

I'm not so sure we're on the same page. Bmode and I are curious to why the front overlights have to be on when the rear seat overlights are on. You can't turn on the rear overlights without turning on all the overlights from the front. From there you can turn off one or both lights in the back but the front will always stay on. It's a waste of power.

I think the waste of power is insignificant.....they are leds.

The real issue is if is a distraction to the driver.

The rear overlights can be turned on independently from the fronts only if the fronts are set to 'door' mode. With the fronts set to 'off' the rear switches are disabled.

Any tips on how to easily replace map/dome/back lights? It seems like I may crack something when I attempt to do it.
