Fellow Acuraziners, I drive a 2010 SH-AWD TL, and I just noticed that I have somehow lost one of the rubber bumpers (hood supports) that affix to the under hood covers that surround the engine bay (maybe the last time it was in for service). I am not talking about the two small circular bumpers at the front of the engine bay, but the ones that are positioned about half way back along the inside edge of the fenders on the right and left sides. I have lost the one on the right side when stood looking into the engine bay.

Does anybody know where I could obtain a new one? The stealership only sells the complete cover (with rubber bumper attached) for near $60.

unless you can find one in the junk yard.. i dont see how you can get your hands on it.. these types of parts are not widely sought out.. you may have to either DIY it, leave it as is, or pay premium for it.

 

You might consider buying one of the stops that is used in the trunk. Cut it down to give it the contour and drill a hole to give it the spring rate. Or some variation on that. Thick rubber hose might do the same thing, pinned or zip tied from the inside.

 

I have the same issue. Any luck finding them?
