Has anyone else had this issue with their DRL lights

good morning what's up guys. I just wanna ask has anyone else notice a change in their high beam lights after installing drl lights. My stock high beams were actually brighter and noticeably different when driving. Now I'm driving and I go to use my high beams and tho they shine they don't over power and really illuminate the street infront of me like ny stock lights did. And I have an R2 set up. I got 6k drl on my Acura TL 2010

That's because the DRL bulb is the same one used for the high beam.

You went to a weak 6000 kelvin LED bulb without a projector, of course high beam will suffer

Damn. Well that makes sense now. I've seen many people get led lights for their drl. I think it looks more modern then the dull amber light during the day time. Does every one have this issue when they do this ? Is there a way to fix the issue or isitsomething you have to deal with because you choose to switch the drl?

because the DRL's are the high beams, people who switch them out will have to suffer. when modding, there is ALWAYS some sort of tradeoff, or compromise

ONLY way to make it very bright is to take your headlamp apart and disassemble the headlamp and take out the shield from the high beam. Then instead of using SMD, you will need CREE LED. CREE is very bright. CREE LED bulb also have a built in heat sink prevent overheating. T

So there is an alternative way to make it very bright for the DRL.

I will do that in a month or so for this conversion.

I pulled the fuse on my DRL. Couldn't stand color mismatch to the HID.

I've seen numerous posts like this, and I confess, I don't understand; if the DRL's are on, then the regular (HID) beams should not be. What precisely is "mismatched"? Clearly I'm missing something obvious here, but for the life of me, I can't put my finger on it.
