FWD Tranny issue? 50mph (80kmh) Vibration?

Hey guys

just wondering if this issue is normal with our transmissions.

its a 5spd tranny but I have been starting to notice a weird spot in the RPM range.

it seems that around 50mph/80kmh the transmission shifts to 5th too early under light throttle. If you stay in and around this speed and try to accelerate you feel vibration due to it being In such a low RPM. I would describe it as when your in a high gear in a manual car going low speed and try to speed up.

Hopefully you know what im referring too. Maybe im too light on the throttle.

I have approx 10K miles on mine and have not experienced this at all.The shifts have been pretty seamless so far.

Wish I could help, good luck.

Sounds like trans shudder to me. I would do a 3x3 on it and see about changing out the pressure sensors. That should help. It does wonders of the 3G.

I have the exact same issue and it drives me crazy! I plan on doing a trans fluid change. Hopefully it fixes the problem but i doubt it. To many gears!!

IM close to 58k miles and I did the 3x3 with Amsoil atf and it seems better. I cant say that i had the same thing with my trans but after the flush it does feel much better all around.

Glad to hear that seemed to fix your problem. I wouldn't be surprised if our cars shared the same transmission.
