Fuel gauge stop working
You can self-diagnose the cluster to see if the issue is in the dash. Keep your eyes on the fuel gauge and with the engine off...
1. press and hold the sel/reset button (do not release until [5] below)
2. turn the light switch ON, one click
3. turn the ignition, i.e. push the button to ON (once)
4. within 5 seconds of [3] turn the light switch OFF, ON, OFF.
5. within 5 seconds of [4] release the sel/reset and push and release the sel/reset 3 times.
If you see the fuel gauge not moving that means there is an issue with the cluster. If it moves its probably the sending unit in the gas tank. In that case, well, take it to a shop to have it replaced. Too dangerous playing with gas tanks, unless you have the training to prevent accidents.

Just mentioning, after the Tonyware recommendation, I have not look at any of electric layout. I have two fuel gauges stop working on other cars both were grounding issue and simple fixes. However I live in a cold climate and salt/road crap gets up there.
