Front bumper skin removal.

Front bumper skin removal.
I have a problem with my 2010 TL'S front bumper skin. It has an irregular fit with the passenger side fender-quarter panel. The horizontal seam between the headlight and the wheel well opening has some extra plastic that was not trimmed properly and is causing a noticeably wider seam. I want to trim it, but would like to know if anyone else has removed the front bumper skin, and what kind of advice you might have for me doing it too.

I can try to post a photo tonight after work. But my question was more about any sneaky hidden screws or hard to remove clip when pulling the bumper skin off. As I am pretty sure that is the only way to get at the inside of the seam. I think the extra plastic is a rough edge of the plastic bumper skin that was not trimmed properly after comming out of the mold and before paint & assembly.

Bumper skin is the thin plastic front nose of the car that has the real aluminum bumper beam hidden behind it. I checked with a parts site and Acura calls it a bumper face.

If you look at step 7, it identifies 11 hooks. My guess is that maybe some of those 11 hooks are no longer connected properly causing the seam gap. Thanks.

Speaking of bumper "skins". Piece of ice poked a clean oval hole 6"X3" in my 2003 cl front bumper. I suspect it can be repaired, but wondering if it is better to get a replacement bumper and if so, should it be painted locally or painted at bumper source?
