Flashing CEL + no code?

I just bought a brand new 2009 TL, and I'm already having troubles with it!

Randomly, when I try to accelerate quickly, the engine will hesitate and suddenly goes into what I can only assume is a limp-home mode. The CEL will flash, there's terrible acceleration, and it runs ROUGH. It even idles hard in park.
If I stop the engine and restart, all will be fine. This has happen in automatic sportshift mode four times, and in Drive once.

I haven't managed to reproduce the issue reliably, and there is no error displayed in the message log on the navi screen or the MID.

I've already taken it to the dealer but I've been told to just "bring it back if it keeps doing it", which I will do, but I'm immensely curious about what sorts of things could cause such an issue. I would think a misfire would trigger an error code.

Any ideas?

I think a flashing CEL universally means "cylinder misfire" on newer cars.

You are correct. If my 09 TL was having cylinder missfire issues I would be going back to acura with that car ASAP!
