That's what I hear with the radio off. It's not very intrusive and it sounds kind of like there's a light chain dangling around from the undercarriage. I only hear it when the car is going faster than around 40 mph and it doesn't seem to affect any aspect of the car's functioning at all. Is it possible that this is just a normal characteristic of the transmission/drivetrain?

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Do you think I should ask a service tech to come with me for a ride when I bring it in for regular servicing this Thur. (I got the "Due for A-1" notice) so he could hear it and check it out or am I just being silly?

I had a similar problem with the mdx, turns out the heat shield needed to be adjusted... noise went away

I also hear a clunk from the undercarriage, but it happens right after I start to drive.

this is the pattern I noticed:

shift from P to D, start accelerating, Clunk noise heard, everything normal after.
