Eps light and no power steering

I convinced my sister into buying a 2010 tl sh awd, car is out of warranty, and not even a month after she bought it she has had the Eps light and a message to check power steering come on 3 times . There is also no power steering while the light is on and goes away if you leave the car off for over 30min. She has been stuck at a gas station once and twice at an intersection.

The dealer has no idea what it can be and cant give me an estimate on what it cost, he does not even know if there will be a trouble code stored.

Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

I think your first move is to call Honda/Acura customer relations and tell them the story, i.e. what the problem is and that the particular dealer can't diagnose it or fix it. They'll get in touch with the dealer for confirmation. It may be something serious, perhaps a potential recall. So, you got nothing to lose if you call them. Be clear and precise and ask them for advice what to do.

Hey I have the same issue on my 2012 TL. Took it to the dealer and they kept the car for 5+ days. At the end they said to replace the EPS module without really being absolutely certain that this is the issue. They said they aren't getting any error codes. What did you find out about your problem? What was it?
