Do I have a bad head gasket?

I have opened the hood of my '13 with 5k miles and found some oil mark around the engine. I would like to get some opinion and try to assess the potential damage vs long term ownership risk. Based on the attachment, do I have a blown gasket?

THX!

If you're worried. Why not take it into the dealer and have them look at it? Still under warranty and at 5000 miles. I'd hope you don't have a blown head gasket.

It wouldn't be a head gasket, but could be a valve cover gasket possibly. Your car is under warranty so no need to worry. Take it in and see what the dealer says.

Check your oil and the cap. If you see any signs of condensation, foaming or milky substance... could possibly mean anitfreeze is mixing with the oil. Are you experiencing any performance issues?

Thanks for the suggestion, there is no condensation or foam/milky stuff under the oil cap nor on the dip-stick.

I went to the dealer, they told me that the car will tell me if anything is wrong. With the oil, they said that it is prob just the rubber seals under the bolts instead of the overall gasket, but this is so minor so there is no action needed. As for antifreeze, there is still some in the tank right now, so there is nothing to worry. Further, I was told that I need to trust the car as if something is wrong, it will tell me...

Am I over-reacting? If left as-is, is there any negative implication on the car's longevity?

You are over reacting. You dont have a head gasket issue. Just keep an eye on it and see if it worsens. If it does have the dealer fix the bad gasket. You arent causing any longevity issues.

Get some all purpose cleaner and clean that area. Check it once a week or so. If it returns, I would call the dealer.
