Hey everyone!

Ever since I bought my 2012 I don't think I've ever seen the courtesy lights come on for both the driver and passenger door, is there a setting or something to turn them on? Do the lights need to be set on automatic for them to work?

Should I look at getting a new set of bulbs?

Yea automatic. If off they will be off

Also make sure if they are aftermarket LED bulbs that they aren't burnt out or installed backward. Did you buy it new or used

Ahh I'll leave my lights on automatic and see if it works tonight, as far as I know they should be OEM bulbs as I've never touched them, car was bought used last year.

Then polarity shouldn't be an issue. If all the lights are out including dome, your interior lights fuse might be blown too..

That's the thing, all the lights work perfect, dome and everything, I usually leave my light setting to off until I need them when it starts getting dark, I'll try auto and see if it changes anything

If you have a multimeter, pull the bulb and carefully put the test prongs on each lead to make sure the door is getting power. Or check the bulb, probable they both out but not impossible ..

First check the bulbs to see if they are blown or if you have a blown fuse.If you are changing the bulb disconnect the battery or make sure you use something made of plastic to remove it, using anything metallic can cause arcing and damage the MICU.
Some people try to use Led logo courtesy lights and those can cause the MICU to burn,if that is the case then you are out of luck. You will need to rewire them from another source or change the MICU.

I gotta ask...why? The auto setting is a feature; why not use it?
