Just wondering if this is normal or not. When the climate control is NOT on AUTO and I have the recirculation on, after a while, it turns off by itself and lets in fresh air. I've noticed it doing this the past 2 or 3 days. It only does it once per drive, if that makes sense. So on my way to work, about a half hour drive, it'll do it once. The drive home from work, it'll do it once. I've never set my climate control to Auto so I know that's out of the picture. Just seeing if anyone else noticed this, or if this is normal.

 

Try this. Next time you are in your car with ac on, adjust the temp up and see if it goes into fresh by itself. If it does, I would think this is normal.

 

thanks dwest. i've tried that and it does not turn off, which is what i'd expect when the CC is in manual mode. oddly enough, on my way to work today, it hasn't happened.
