Blower whistle

Blower whistle
I bought a used 2010 with 33k. When its warm there is no issue. When outside temp is below 45 degrees the blower motor whistles at lower fan speeds until its warmed up. I threw an OEM Honda cabin filter in. It even makes the noise when the cabin filter housing is pulled out. I find it hard to believe the bearing would be shot with only 33k. It seems to get even louder at idle. Anyone else had this issue?

Yeah I tried searching and couldn't come up with anything. I might tear in to it tomorrow and see if I can find the culprit. If it is the motor , I'll take it to the dealer so they can rip the dash apart as I cant see any way it would come out from the bottom.

... even though as I have discovered lately the process of removing the blower motor isn't that simple. If the dealer bills for 2 hours, plus the part and you are looking at around $300.

It's probably the blower motor. I haven't had this problem on the TL but on my previous MDX's a 2005 and 2008 the blower motor was making the whistling noise you described and was replaced under warranty.
Not sure where it is on the TL but on the MDX I was told it was under the passenger side of the dash and wasn't a big deal to replace.
