Belt squeal from compressor?
Belt squeal from compressor?
So i recently changed the serpentine belt off my 2010 TL-SH that i bought a few months back.At 75K miles it was in bad shape and looked like it was never done. However, after changing this it developed a squeal.Always on a cold start-up and while im accelerating it squeals.Went through the forum and i tried every trick to see what was what.Checked all of the pulleys and everything is good no play or movement ect.So after striking out from all of this before taking a shot and just replacing with a Gator belt and a new tensioner pulley i found something on youtube about swapping out the compressor mounting bolts? Apparently Acura put a correction years ago about changing the thickness of the mounting bolts that would solve the squealing issue.Anyone hear of something like this? Seems like the cheaper route im going to take before i do anything. Thanks
I never heard about that. But I wouldn't doubt that it could be a cause. Even my gator belt started to squeak after about 30K miles. I put another one on and it stopped. But it could indicate that the compressor isn't aligned correctly.
