I need the help of you guys to help me understand this issue going on with this car, I bought this car 3 years ago with 86,000 miles from a ederly person . Car is beautiful. I used to own a 2007 TL type s ( best car ever made,never gave me any problems but normal maintenance ). The 2010 TL has done nothing but cause me problems and a waste my money . The issue that’s going on is that the car when I accelerate or I am driving will make a clicking noise or knocking noise , now if the car is just standing still without moving it’s doesn’t do that or i don’t know if it does it , just can’t hear it at all . I will attach a video . I know this explanation probably makes no sense . Just can’t really explain it. now this car has about 96k miles . Please let me know what you guys think .

That does sound like a bad lobe(s) on the camshaft. Use a stethoscope to confirm its coming from the top end.

Yes, it's been run on low oil for a substantial time. Camshafts are likely pitted.
