2014 TL Adv HID Light Replacement?

2014 TL Adv HID Light Replacement?
Driver side HID is out, swapped out bulb, didn't resolve the issue. Assuming that it is either the ballast or the control unit. How do I know which? Should I just take it to the dealer and have them resolve?

Swap the driver ballast to the passenger side then check the lights.
If passenger side is out its the ballast. If driver side is still out its the igniter (control unit)

swap parts from working passenger side 1 at a time until the driver side works.
