2012 TL SH-AWD Advance - Whistling Noise

I have a 12' TL Advance AWD with about 2500 miles. At speeds of 40 and above, I can hear a whistling noise coming from around the front passenger side of the car. The noise is louder with the front passenger window down. Anyone else have this? I'm wondering if this is wind noise coming from the brake cooling ducts, the active noise cancelling, the A/C compresser or something else.

Did you find out the cause of your whistle?

The cause of the whistle was actually the propeller shaft bearing just starting to go bad. The dealer stated that when the bearing goes bad, its usually a lot louder. This was the first case that they have seen where the bad bearing was so quiet. In order to replicate this, they simply put the car up on the lift, got the car up to around 35mph and the noise was very apparent. Once they replaced the propeller shaft, noise has 100% disappeared and has not returned.

these drive shafts have been a known issue with the sh-awd. there is also another bulletin for a whistle coming from the windshield. that consists of replacing some clips on the windshield cowel

I have a Acura TL Tech 2009 and a propellor shaft was replaced under warranty. You will not notice it until you turn off the radio. I googled it and found several posts in Acurazine.

This will be of interest to many of you. The rep from Honda just called, after I called them regarding the driveshaft bearing, and how the dealer said Honda wouldnt be covering it. The rep was very thorough and just generally cool, and explained that they just came out with an update for the bearing very recently, and that they're sending one of the updated shafts to my dealer for replacement. He also said that dealers dont even know about the update yet since its so recent. I was very happy to hear that, and with this I would expect a real TSB to come out for this soon. Good news for all of us.
