2011 TL SH-AWD clutch
Hi guys...
Bought a used 2011 TL SH-AWD 6MT with 8K miles. I have to release pedal almost to the end to start moving. Is it possible that my clutch is used heavily by first owner and needs to be replaced soon? or might be adjusted somehow?
Also, I have an extended warranty 8 years or 120K miles and car was certified by Acura. In worse case, can my clutch be replaced by extended or manufacture warranty?
Thanks in advance

On MT vehicles, clutches will gradually wear out. More so if the previous owner was using the car to learn to drive MT vehicle.
The clutch release point can be restored by doing the adjustment as pointed out by CerberusKy.
But if the limit of adjustment is reached, then the only solution is a clutch replacement job.

I suppose it's possible, but I'd be stunned if the previous owner could trash the clutch in only 8000 miles. Acura/Honda clutches, in my experience, will go 150K+.
The TL clutch releases on the high side. Try the adjustment, as suggested above. That should take care of you.
