Hello, I am looking for help with my 09 TL I don’t have much knowledge with these cars. The radiator fan will not run at all, and the radiator will start steaming after about 5 mins of the car running. Takes it about 20 mins to start overheating. I ran diagnostics and all that came back was code p1659, also I tried a new relay for the radiator fan, nothing. Could this be a censor?! Also, the antifreeze appears to be seeping out the top and bottom of radiator. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

 

If it's leaking then you need a new radiator. Code doesn't seem to be related to the cooling system in the car.

1. New radiator - you can pressure test to confirm the leak is the radiator and not a hose - autozone rents a kit.
2. Since you tried a new relay, can you confirm power going to the radiator fan - use a multimeter on the pins that go to the fan connector
