So I was driving down the highway and decided to push my car so I floored it. Then all a sudden before my car was going to shift the revs dropped to zero and car coasted. I applied gas again but car was not pulling and I pulled over. The car started to shutter while stopped then I turned off the car. I checked for any obvious problems there were none. I then turned back on the car and problem solved no shutter and accelerated without difficulty.

I also have issued with a rattling metallic noise from under the car I can hear it most prominent around 2000-3000 RPM.

anyone know what the differential diagnosis of this issue is?

I'm leaning towards to torque converter or transmission
