Decided to dive into the whole modding thing and start off with a minor one (plasti dipping the grill/rear trim)
But first, some pics of her from over the past month:
Now, it was my first time ever plasti dipping. I think it came out pretty good. Lemme know what you guys think.
Next on the list is 35% tint, roof spoiler, winter tires + powder coating the 17 inch rims a semi gloss black.

Personally i would have the parts color matched, much cleaner and professional looking that way, that said the plasti dip is easily removable and give you an idea of how the part will look.

Congrats Virgil on your 09' TL W/Tech. If kept clean and detailed, CBP is a good color. I like your simple mods to start before winter.
Spring is a good time for some serious mods! I'm hoping to do some more next spring. Your wheels in gloss black -

Why didn't you do the grill in black plastidip? Would have been better imo and i'm curious how that would look anyway...
With that color, the stock grill looks better/cleaner imo.
Other than that... so far so good.

Thanks man, looking forward to what this site will teach me.
Haha cool, if I'm ever down them ways, I'll keep an eye out for ya.
It is black lol. The photo editor kinda make the color look a bit off.

Sounds good,be sure to check out the Regions section of Azine to see info on local car meets, the season is coming to a close but i have been to a few and there is a great group of 3G guys at the meets. Would be nice to have some more 4G members.

Sooo while moving some things around my garage, I scuffed the outer part of the grill messing up the plastidip. So I decided to take off the outer trim and for some reason, I actually prefer it this way. Might redo it later on or get it painted.

I'd paint it man... Its a pain in the ass I know to send it off and have someone do it right but trust me, you wont regret it. You could always have someone wrap it too.

It's funny cause it was your TL that made me wanna paint mine too. I am going to in the future, I just rather do some things before hand.

Hah, yea I painted mine myself to start out so I'm speaking from experience. I thought mine looked pretty good until I had Brian paint it for me. Night and day dude.... but it's a good stop gap what you did, I think anything is better than the bright beak on a cbp.
I feel you though, its always hard trying to justify which mod you should do over the other. What are you gonna do next?

Heh, haven't posted anything in awhile, but have a few updates about what's been done and going to be done.
Got some Exhaust work done finally.
In the coming weeks:
-Grille color matched
-All red tails
-Headlight color matching
-Coils
-Wheels (Still undecided)

Looking good bud. What size tips did you use ? Changed the mufflers as well? Which coils are you going with? and who is doing your headlights?
So many questions lol, perhaps i will see you at the Azine meets one day.

Heh, thanks.
Haha thanks man
Haha uh 3.5 inches. Actually running a semi straight pipe from the 2nd resonator. Installed an 18 GT speed resonator to compensate it. Sounds pretty good.
I have mufflers coming in (Magna 11225) but they got back ordered and gotta wait till late may/June. Sounds pretty good for the time being.
Lights I'm getting done by a local 3G'er annnnd the coils, most likely Tein SAs
The tips I bought from the shop where I got the work done. $120 for both.

Little update. Finally got some time to get my taillights wrapped and I was quite impressed with the turnout. The rear just looks so much better now.

Have you thought about wrapping the red reflectors too?

Another update. Finally got around to getting my headlights done.
-Blacked out (Except ridges)
-Amber cleared (replaced with a white LED)
Came out amazing. Got it done by a local AZiner.
