stp's 2009 WDP TL Progress Thread

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to contribute to the forum and make a thread about WDP TL that was bought back in 2011. I havent done a whole lot to it, but its making progress. SLOWLY..

(circa Feb 2012)

upgraded to TL SH AWD WHEELS and added chrome sports grille:

(June 2014)

upgraded grille with WDP paint, restored headlights and added TSX-R projectors and vinyl roof. I know some people may not like the roof but I love it:

I also added the custom led cupholders. Will try to add pictures later today.

Will also be upgrading rims too.

Please share your thoughts as I am open to all suggestions, good or bad.

Off to a good start. Idk about the painted midnight chrome grill... Not my cup of tea. As long as you like it. Kudos!

What style rims are you looking to get?

yea Im not THAT big of a fan of it either but I dont want to swap for the original grille either. I was looking for a ronjon grille but those are hard to find nowadays.

As for the rims.... I am thinking about Ron Jon Rev GT rims. I want to keep the 18" rims because 19's might be too big for my own taste. I don't plan on lowering the car or anything

i have never seen that type of color combiantion like that 4g grill..

frankly it looks weird.. but as long as you like it..

go with 19' it will suit you better..

I might get the rest of the grill painted eventually. I havent made up my mind yet though. I definitely know that I eventually grew to hate the stock grill.

Thing that sucks is that you paid for the midnight chrome grill
but painted over it. Do you have the stock grill as well? Most of the 09-11 guys just paint the whole grill and it looks a lot better.

i actually really like what you did with the grill, the white and midnight chrome contrast nicely. could really make it pop if you could somehow get some midnight chrome accents down by the foglights, but don't know how realistic that idea is

keep us posted, and take some daytime shots!

Nice progress so far. I'd like to see daytime pics of the grille also. I cannot see any sense in painting the entire grille if you purchase the midnight chrome grille for it's finish to begin with.

I agree. But I bought the grille used back in 2012. I've grown disinterested in it. Thats all. So I thought I would try something different.

And Im not willing to go back to stock grill since I didnt really like it either.
