Dealership is going to fix the bumper, and small scrape, while the car is there next week to fix this:

Sweeet Ride. I actually like the way the painted grille looks on your car. Now you need the body kit, side moldings & the black diamond rims.

Thanks! I was looking at the body kit - definitely considering it. Not in the budget this year, but maybe in the spring (trying to buy a house in the next 6 months)

Nice pics Shelly. Your car is looking great and what long fingernails you have

Nexson's work looks perfect on your car too!

Thanks! And they're not that long! lol

Brian's a genius - I love my grille - totally changed the look of the car, definitely more aggressive.

Indeed, he did a great job. I like how the painted grill looks on the dark colors.

OT, Brian did my grille too.. I think I may put on the new grille he painted for me tomorrow.. it's white instead of black. I like the black one a lot but need to at least see how the white looks since I paid for it and Brian put the effort in to paint it for me.

^^ agreed - the OEM grille is too "bright" for the black car, IMO

I do, however, think the OEM looks fantastic on the white TL (2nd color choice )

I kind of wish they had offered a chrome grille insert for the '12 instead of that satin, aluminum look. Like you said, chrome tends to look good on white (and red)... to me.

There's nothing wrong with the OEM grille. It pops and I think that was the intention.
Look at the grille in this video. Very groovy looking! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1X5Y8q5wlzQ

Shelly, that's a good looking ride. The Nexson grill is sweet! Sorry to see the bump pics though.

TL vs. my dad's Jag sedan - mostly just a rub mark, thankfully! Dropped the car off this morning at the dealership for the steering column cover issue, and they said they would take care of the bumper. I just said I can't drive well, and they laughed.... they thought I was joking, haha

bahahaha that's very keen of you to notice that! And I told you all that my nails are not that long - now there's evidence. I need to get a better pic of the "fix" the dealership did - this was post-run and I was in a hurry to get inside for a shower.

Hi Shelly even tho I don't ride a TL, I always stumble myself in the TL section, lol, sick looking ride you got there. Your new grill made a new transformation and you're correct, it looks more aggressive. So what's else you have in mind for your next mod?

Looking good Shelly...love the all-black look. I personally wouldn't kit it, but that's my IMO. Keep up the great work...

And yes, steering column cover is fixed! Need to get a pic, although, it's not that interesting.

I actually have no idea what I'm going to do next ... contemplating new wheels, or possibly a body kit. I'd LOVE to lower it, but, w/ winters around here being ridiculous, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I think I'm going to focus on the headlights/taillights next - getting rid of the "yolk" effect. Anyone w/ suggestions/recommendations for bulbs, I welcome the comments!

Philips 85122+, CM, CX are good but may be pricey
Kaixen's are good and also Osram CBI but they're hard to find

I'm using Morimoto 5000k's i got for 45$ on the retrofitsource. Great bulbs for the price

Price isn't a *huge* issue, since I'm sure the bulbs will outlast my ownership of the car

Where do you find the Philips or other bulbs you mentioned?? I've only been to Pep Boys or the like to replace bulbs on my Accord (the cheap stuff). I've never looked into or had to buy "nice" bulbs

Philips
Heres the philips CM's
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Origi...402#vi-content
Kaixen
http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-236445.aspx
Morimotos
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=1250

If you're looking for a true white bulb 5000k is the temp your want. if you want some blueish hue 6000-6500k. But visibility wise 5000k's are best for looks/visibility

Thanks!!

I have a black on black TL, so IDK what would look best - I'm leaning towards the true white, only bc of how much highway driving I do... what do you think? I'm also going to replace the fogs/DRLs w/ white lights - so over the yellow.

Is the white TL in your default pic your car, bc the blue looks great!

^stay between 4300k and 5000k. those will give you true white and the best visibility.

Yea that is my TL in my avatar. But I have 5000k's on. I had my lenses swapped and they look blue in pictures but in person they only have a tint of blue. 5000k's would be good enough. You'd probably wouldn't want 4300k because that the same as the bulb you're using now.

I got more pictures here if you want to see how the 5000k's look

I'd do oem bodykit, teins coilovers w/edfc and the new modify grill Nexxon just did on his TL and you will be golden. Just my ...... Just make sure you still have enough $$$ to get your nails done, lol. Overall I love the interior and exterior on the new TL 4G. If you ever consider getting aftermarket wheels make sure they're not 2 piece wheel as they're heavy.

I just put my Nesxon grille on!! haha, lemme keep it on for at least a few months before I swap it out for another of his creations

Definitely thinking about the body kit - and wheels will wait until next summer. I kinda like what I have on there, so unless I find something that totally blows me away, it's not a necessity to switch them out.

Ride is coming out nice...Yes I would suggest the body kit then maybe next year the suspension...Those OEM wheels look nice especially with the ride lowered.
