Photo Request...

As a new member that is looking forward to owning a new TL I come to the AcuraZine community for a little help.

I have 2 photo request:

1. There are oodles of pictures of the steering column of the Tech Package models but 0 of how the AWD non-Tech looks. Would any of you SH-AWD NON Tech owners be so kind as to snap a few pictures of how the steering column looks w/ out the push button option.

2. Everyone knows how limited availability is on SH-AWD non-Tech cars. Well the availability of that trim in Myan Bronze w/ Umber is even few and far between. SO....(I have already look in the Got MB thread) Can anyone post 1 or 2 pictures of the interior of a MB w/ Umber leather??

Any help would be much appreciated. I am slated to place an order for this car sight unseen. (only in pictures) I would just like to see a few more pictures to confirm my wants.

Thanks in advance. DS

Wow. SH-AWD, Non-Tech, MB w/ Umber. sounds like the hardest combo to find

Did anybody ever find the production breakdown of 2009?

oh and i hate to say this, because i love my SH-AWD sooo much. but...

If you were only gonna get one package, i would say Tech. All the additional features that are included are worth the $$ .... since (i am assuming) you live in the South, AWD isnt that necessary... still nice, but you dont have to worry about snow

the TECH package has

-- MUCH better Speaks/Amp
-- USB Connection for Thumb Drives/iPods (not sure if non-tech has this)
-- Navigation
-- More advanced Bluetooth/Phonebook storage options
-- 13 Gig Hard Drive
-- Push Button Start
-- Backup Camera
-- Keyless "touch" access (key never leaves your pocket)
-- 8" VGA Resolution Screen w/ wallpaper feature

Again, just my opinion.

Although I own the Mayan/Umber, I don't have any pictures yet because I've been waiting for a chance to clean the car between winter storms, and with yet another winter storm bearing down right now, I don't know if I'll get a clean picture anytime soon...but here are some pictures I used when i was doing my initial research - there are two shots of the umber and a shot of the exterior in the gallery:

Thanks for the advice Blackura but as a person who REALLY enjoys sporty driving I much preferred the AWD on the several test drives I have been on. I really can't justify getting the Tech on the AWD and I really don't want to give up AWD for what it offers. For ME I feel that I can do with out Tech to have the much better driving experience of AWD.

Man Blackura now you are putting serious doubts into my decision. Orginally I was dead set on getting a Base w/ Tech and then I drove a AWD model. Now that I realizing what I am giving up for the AWD I think I want to go back to the Base w/ Tech. I have been driving a RSX for 7 years now and have really few gripes. Im going play in both models again tomorrow and by Friday will have made a final decision. Either way I am super stoked to be getting a 2010 TL

what price quotes have you gotten already?

SH-AWD w/ Tech can be had for about $38k if you are a good negotiator...

Its a tough decision... sorry to make you have doubts, but a car purchase is a big one!! i hope you are happy with whatever you decide to buy!! Good Luck!!

I had an 06 TL & 08 TL-S ... and my g/f has an 03 CL-S...

they were all FWD, and quite honestly, no complaints at all... but after i test drove the AWD, i was in love

Here in the New Orleans are where the economy has had little effect on well anything prices are not as appealing as other parts of the country. I can get the AWD w/o Tech OR Base w/ Tech for about 36.5k to 37k AWD w/ Tech Package I can get for about 39k

I understand the argument many will make. Man you spending 37 why not 39k? Well its a price point I est. and I just don't want to go over.

OP- hope this might be able to help you. I found a listing for a white SH-AWD non-tech online at my Acura dealer's site with some pics of the interior and such.

http://edmartinacura.com/New-Invento...oryId=29995230

Also I can't really resist posting this one. 2010 Mayan Bronze/Umber SH-AWD with a 6MT and the HPTs. I don't think you can find a rarer combo for the 4G TL.

Well I went to the dealership yesterday and test drove a Base w/ the Tech package. I believe that is the model I will be getting. I really enjoyed the capabilities of the Tech package and w/ some upgrades from Progressive and Tein I believe the car will feel much more stout.
I am not giving up the Myan Bronze color but I am kind of disappointed that I will not have the Umber option and will be forced to Parchment. I think I will be more than content w/ my decision. I just can't wait to take delivery. Mid-February will be X-Mas for me...

lol... good for you... Like I said, i think the Tech package is a must have, especially if you spend a good amount of time in your car.... i drive 30k a year, and couldnt live without the tech features

I drive approximately 30k miles a year myself so I will indefientely get my $$s worth out of the tech package. I spoke to the dealer yesterday and they found me a MB that should be delivered by Mid-Feb. Price is still not hammered out yet. Im shooting for ~36k

I would say about $35,500 - $36,500 is the price you should pay.... since its such a rare color, they might push for the higher #.... but all-in-all, i think you made a good choice on the Tech..

If you lived up here in the North, i would have said AWD is a better buy

I drive about that amount, too. I am definitely very happy with my TL in this role. :-)

Myan Bronze doesn't seem to rare but Basque Red Pearl is. I must be the only one on this site with one. BRP with taupe interior. Nova Scotias roads are full of sand from the storms so the TL hasn't been cleansince purchase. Been hoping someone would post a pick of a clean BRP so I can see what she wil look like cleaned up for summer. I'm also non Tech w/AWD. $10,000 dealer incentive in december over ruled the toys . I bought the last '09 on the lot.

Found non tech interior pic

http://images.lemonfree.com/48443127_5.jpg

Column looks the same but without the big red button and less buttons on the center console and steering wheel. A little tidier imo.

Much thanks for the post NS-TL. However, after playing w/ the Tech package for almost an hour I think I will be getting the FWD w/ Tech.

DirtySouth_TL......no prob dude. I had a 09 TL FWD loaner when I still had "Black Beauty" and it was a nice ride. But man the SH-AWD is a diff animal all together. When cooking a corner its as if the car sits on that outside wheel and just shoots through the apex.....its NICE!!! I know you don't have to worry about snow but the TL Shawd is a beast in the snow. I have Toyo Garrits on the stock rims and I think alot of SUV's are stunned at how well it gets through the snow. I know SH-awd is geared for dry traction but it feels better in the snow than my work Subaru Legacy wagon. As an aside...I'm with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police...and the Subi is all lit up (all lights hidden from view when not on)!! Freaks ppl out!

CJTL this is so ironic. I bought the 2010 tl shawd 6sp in mayan bronze and umber w/o the hpt. Ironically also from
Ed Martin back in Oct. They were one of the best dealers i ever worked with.

Nice! You should post pictures of your car as it sounds very nice looking.

Ed Martin Acura is a great dealership. My sister and I both have 3G TLs purchased from them and everyone is friendly and helpful. Love em. I was just there today actually, browsing the lot.
