Cool Once Again.. a Nexson Grille...Pics

Just an example of how a grille should be painted, so that it does not chip.

These steps NEED to be taken.

I bought this grille and painted it Polished Metal Metallic.

Sanding 80 then 180

Self Etching Primer (for metal)

PPG NCS Sealer

DBC Basecoat

DC3000 Clearcoat

Awesome! I also have a PPM TL. Can't wait to see the final product installed on the car. I myself, just ordered the OEM Sport Grill (midnight chrome) and rear trim piece.

Carbon Silver, from a G35 lip I did, had a little paint left over.
I wanted something to match the wheels, and I can't stand how the stock rear lip water spots so easily!

It's not bad, I'm going to sand down the back grille and respray it the color of my car just to see how it looks.

Nice pose in that reflection shot there

Interested to see how the paint-matched rear lip comes out. Good luck!

Thanks!

I want to see what I can do with the 2012 grille once I get the conversion.

I should probably make a instructional video for painting grilles so others maybe inspired to do it themselves!

Can you clarify, are you planning on converting your 09/10 grill to a 2012 grill? If so, how will you be doing it?

ha, well I guess that wouldn't be hard. Most shops assume I guess you don't have to do much prepping or not willing to sand in those hard to reach areas.

Like the whole bumpoer the grille, the whole front should just bolt right up like it did my accord and other models with a mid gen change.
