Neal's '09 PMM Lowered on 20's

1st I want to thank my fellow Ziners for showing me the true potential of this car and inspiring me to purchase this car and perform mods that I would have never done if it was not far this site.

Here is the short list of Mods so far: 20” X 8.5” Hyper Black Ace Convex Wheels wrapped with 235 Conti Extremes DWS tires; Lowered with Tein H-Tech Springs and LED DRLs.

Future Mods: Probably will have JNC Clear and blackout my lights.

Hope you like the pics.

Thanks,

I just got them installed today so I have less than 30 miles on them but so far the ride feels really close to stock. I wanted something that killed the wheel gab but did not compromise the ride quality too much and I think the H-Techs accomplish this nicely.

I am kind of in limbo on if I want the kit or not I like the front lip and side pieces but the rear part of the kit looks a little bulky to me, but I have not rulled it out. I am also waiting to see if Ron Jon is goint to release his kit.

Smoke I was back and fourth on if I should drop or not because this is my daily commuter also. After reading all the reviews and doing my research I finally got comfortable with it. I wanted to go with H&Rs but they are still not available for the FWD so I decided to with H-Techs because they were available and because of a good of a review by another Ziner on this forum and favorable reviews on other vehicles. The ride is seems to be close to stock but only have about 30mi on them I will post a detailed review once I have had a chance to ride around with them for a while.

I am a fan of your ride also, I am definitely going to follow your lead on the blacked out lights and thinking hard about the Ron Jon Grill.

Neal I was considering those till I finalized my wheel choice. Could you please check if our stock center caps fit on those?

Sorry they don't fit; the center hub for this wheel is considerably bigger. I would like to have the Acura emblem on my hubs also let me know if you come up with a solution.

Maybe you'd have to get a custom set :| ?

By any chance you have or can get a shot of those wheels in motion? Part of the reason I was considering getting them is because I imagined they look great.

Those wheels look right at home on the TL . Good choice on the tires as well, I love those DWS.

By the way get in touch with me when you are ready to do the headlights as I have core exchange program available now for the 4G

Very nice man! I think the drop/wheel combo is perfect! Nothing too flashy. This is how the TL should have came from the factory!

I would add the factory aero kit to finish it off. Very tastefully done!

Thanks man that is the look I was shooting for. I wanted to keep the car professional looking but still have that sporty edge.

Female member here with a WDP from FL (don't remember user name), got 22's; to me it looks like a tonka toy, she said it looks perfect and would have been disappointed with 20's.

I dopped the Car with Tein H-Tech springs and the advertised drop is 1.18 Front and 1.06 rear. I did not measure but I would say it looks pretty close to spec.

I would recommend it. For about $500 installed you could totally transform your car. The ride quality is close to stock. it is a little more harsh on poor quality roads but the car does handle a lot better.

Neal, in the lower right hand corner of each post, the middle icon is a multi-quote button. This allows you to respond to more than one person in a single post/response. That way, you don't have to make a separate post for each person.

I wished I'd seen this thread before lowering my TL and save the cost but I went with tein coils. The height of your TL is perfect! however don't know if drop is same on AWD system.

Overall your TL looks great and classy.

Hey, neal. Car looks great!

After having the springs and wheels for a while have you noticed any issues? I was looking to do the same thing with my ride but I was concerned about rubbing and/or camber issues especially if I load the car up with people plus luggage or something. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The wheels look good - very classy on your TL! The Lip Kit would really set it off.

Very nicely done - looks great.

I've been debating the body side mouldings and I really like them on your car. They cut up the size of the large doors nicely.
