My new 2011 TL FWD

Hey guys i just got my new car on july 2nd and it been a joy driving this. so far i got a set of rj legends(w/ conti dws), roof spoiler, 35%tint, hoen fog, philips uniton 6000k (flash white), 198 leds. thats all i can remember so far.

future mods oem lip kit or rj kit (still debating), Takeda SRI, prolly ATLP full exhaust, and TEIN SS coilovers

my previous ride

(also consider get some 20's M6 for the TL but i think i made a better choice w/ the RJ legends

oh yea i got the oem sports grill as well

Got my front and sides oem kit install, rear should be on this weekend if I'm not lazy (finding the right tools)

01Stang....So youdecided to put the rear skirt? I opted out of it but put the front and side and just add the rear splash guards. Feel free to check my link to give you an idea.

Its BWP AWD TECH - with accessories (thread name)

Nice car and mods by the way

Yea I checked out your car before it's amazing, I am going to have the rear put on I like the rear with the black plastic a little more sportier look IMO, I do have the rear slash guard so I'm rolling like u this week. After this I'm stop modding for a little while only got 3500 miles. Coil/exhaust is next tho maybe in the winter

I DIY on the kit thats why it's not done at the same time, laziness I guess lol

01Stang....No worries, I was just curious because I was having problem with the way the rear skirt just ends in the back and look unfinished but its all subjective. BTW, I just added several photos about 20 minutes ago...check them out

He's got an '11... which uses a different OEM kit than the '12. The '09-'11 kit wraps further around the rear than the "slapped on looking" corner only ones for the '12

Stew4....Thanks buddy. I did realize that after I posted my message. I know you have the full kit and didn't mean to be harsh on the rear skirt. I love it from the side view and its just a shame they didn't wrap it all the way around. I finally got my splash guard put on and in my opinion, brings a little more balance. I was happy without them but now that they are on, I like it better. It seem that the front and side of the car had something added so it makes more sense to have something in the rear. It just flares the rear lower bumper flare out just enought and flows better with side skirt. Feel free to check out the new pics on my thread.

Cheers

How do you like the Conti DWS tires so far?

I have an '11 I purchased in May and am considering swapping for the Conti tires before winter starts. The OEM tires slip in normal rain so I can't imagine going through a Chicago winter with them.

BTW, I have the SH-AWD.

OP, I like the deleted front spoiler trim and the smoked rear reflectors. Tl works good with the RJ's because it gives it that classy look.

Welcome Stang!

Nice upgrade from that "slacker BMW". (just kidding)

Enjoy your new ride!

Ohh thanks for the comments but those pics are two weeks ago, before my lip kit hehehe, also my front turn signal tint I took them off because it didn't look good with the switch backs I have on it, it looks amazing with the reg orange glow. And I love my rear reflector tint(used some cheap limo tint I have laying around, I might have them professional smoked soon)

So far I got 600miles on them I love them it is quieter than the stockers, but it's hard to compare 17's &19's. They are def better than the falken I had on the BMW. These are all season high performance with 50k mile tread life good for anytime of year( I don't a lot of research before settle on these)

finally got my kit put together today heres some temp pic sorry my car is filthy will have a proper photoshoot this weekend

got some nokya hyper yellow for DRL

the scariest part of the install that requires some cutting

before

during...

so i guess i was too exciting using my new jigsaw FYI there are line on the inside of the bumper that tells u where to cut pretty much cut from the 10mm holes u drilled... (the jigsaw wont/cant cut from the inside because of the curves/exhaust area it wont fit)
so i just played connect the dots and cut hole to hole....thought i was on track till i cut to the wrong hole..... SIGH

im just glad that i didnt chopped the whole bumper off i would be PO. anyways minor set back but the new lip covers it well and it doesnt seem like it affect the fit (Whew! lucked out)

my switch back, i took off the tint coz it doesnt look as well with the led

If you'd like a second opinion I had the stock Goodyears swapped out with the Conti DWS's before I picked up car my car. And although I can't compare them to the OE tires I can say that the Conti's are smooth, quiet and quite grippy, with the added benefit of being all season tires. I am really pleased with them.

Thanks for chiming in on your experience with the Conti DWS tires. I think I've decided to put those on the car within the next month or two and get them broken in before cold weather or snow hits.

To reiterate, the Continental DWS is an excellent tire. There are those who've complained about flat spotting, but when I had them on my Lexus, I had no issues and the car handled like a champ in heavy rain. I've heard nothing but good things about it's snow capabilities as well... would not mind getting those again if I had an option as the tire has a long tread life as well...

Conti DWS are one of the best AS tires out there. Hell I would've gotten a set too.. but I can't part ways with tire shine(those things wont take any of it). I love shiny tires too much

Gorgeaous TL, I love that color and the rims are beautiful...congratulation and enjoy your new ride....but you know, you must be a factual impossibility....according to some forum members nobody would trade a BMW for an Acura (and FWD to boot...sacrilege!!!) ...few people are going to scratch their heads!!!

Congratulation again!!!!

i tried the vinyl route but i didnt go a great job on it so i peel it off and decided to spray it. (good thing i can peel off the plasti-dip later too)

now i just need to get her lower a little and i'll be set for a while...

I got these tips from my buddy's extra pile of stuff. But I know these are Corsa Clones these are 2.5 in and dual 4in out staggered angle cut. U be able to find them in Camaro/TransAm sites....

Anyways if the muffler shop couldn't get them to work my stock tips were going on there instead....
