Lowered my TL SH today

I bought this car 5 days ago. It's the exact car I wanted. 2012 TL SH AWD, 3.7, Black with Umber interior. I already had the windows tinted using 15% tint and my son and I (mostly him) installed the B&G springs part number 28.1.081 which lowers it 1.4" all the way around. I'm very happy with look and drive. It still handles great and no rubbing.

Looks great! Keep us posted on if they were able to align it back within spec. I've been contemplating on lowering my TL but I don't want the consequence of camber wear. Please post more pictures and your review on the ride. Thanks.

I Will keep you posted. The dealer is doing the alignment tomorrow. They are located right down the road from my work.

Had the alignment done today. I was told there is in rear camber adjustment and that I would need to buy the rear adjustable camber kit to get it back into specs. The rear max spec is -1.8 and mine is -2.6

Follow up

I replaced the lower bar only which is for camber but is listed as a lateral bar. Part number 67550. Anyways I had it re-aligned today along with new shoes and she is happy. Oh yeah so am I.

Great job at lowering the car. Looks slight lower in the rear. I just looked them up and they are set at 200 shipped. Do you have any updated pics of the car after the springs have settled? Maybe a level side shot. I'm debating on either springs or coils. I want something that rides decent has a decent drop of 1.5-1.75 inches. It'll stay like that for the rest of it's life.

They did settle a bit and looks a lot more level. However most of the cars I have that I changed springs on the front always seemed a tad higher. I was told that its designed that way for braking. But I’m not sure. I noticed today that the rear caster was affected even tho the alignment is within specs for camber and toe. I just ordered the other two rear adjustable bars to get my caster back.

Looks nice. I have a '14 SH, same color. I might lower it, too. Thanks for posting the info and alignment. Did it come with those brake calipers? I like them, mine don't look like that.

You both have the same calipers but OP has caliper covers. Made by a few companies but most popular are MGP. If you dont want to spend 200USD you can also paint your calipers for cheap.
