Sprint Booster Review
Just sharing my thoughts after spending about six hours driving since the install of the Sprint Booster. Just some basic info before the review, car is a 2010 Tl Sh Auto, fully bolted on with all available mods.
I believe the first member to have it on a 4G was former member "Carrie Lynn" and she gave it a positive review. Other members that have it are "4G Tl Sh" and "Symply" both of whom also gave it positive reviews.
That said,it was something that I wanted to try for some time and the 30 day money back guarantee made it an easier and risk free decision. For any Canadians reading this,I purchased it from Sprint Booster.ca for $299 Can +13% for a total cost of $338 Can funds, free shipping and no duties.
After installation I immediately put it in Stage 2 (most aggressive mode) and have left it that way. Previously my car performed well with all the mods on, the SB takes it up a notch by providing a more responsive throttle, also downshifts at highway speed or during overtaking occurs much quicker.
IMO, I now have better performance in "D" mode than I had when using Manual in Sport mode. I always felt that "D" was somewhat sluggish in our Auto. and this takes care of that issue for me.
I had no issues driving in bumper to bumper traffic since the accelerator is not overly sensitive and the car does not lurch forward during slight acceleration. Word of caution, you may want to switch it off during inclement weather or if you allow someone to drive your car who does not normally drive it.
Some people feel that stepping on the pedal harder without the SB will provide the same results but that simply isn't the case.
I understand that there is no gain in HP but by making the power available earlier the car feel much more spirited, based on these preliminary findings I have to say that even though I was skeptical about the SB, I am happy with it and will be keeping it. Having spent money on some mods that gave questionably results, the SB does what it is advertised to do.
Above is just my personal opinion on the SB, I am neither recommending it or justifying the purchase, simply stating the difference I feel currently. The reason I mention this is because the SB remains a hotly debated mod with some folks loving it and some not. Use your own judgement.

Good to hear you like the SB.
I am usually in green mode and red for punching it here and there. In stock the car feels sooooo slow now.
I know I am a big fan so my opinion was bias, but like you said it is not for everyone.

Karkraze,
I see you have the sprintbooster. I was very intrigued after reading about it.. Now do you also have the Ktuner?? I wonder if they would be compatible with each other..?

Your car looks amazing BTW! Could I ask where you found those aluminium pedals??

Thanks for getting back to me, I think I will go the same route. Already have the long tube j-pipe and HFPCs so I think these 2 mods (ktuner + SB) are the next logical step towards better performance and throttle response! (cannot get away with a full cat-back in my state) Plus I got my bonus last week and I'm itching to spend it

I purchased the pedals locally in Toronto. Similar pedals are available on E Bay.
With regards to the SB, it has a 30 day refund if you are not satisfied so it's a risk free way to try it out.

Ya found a pedal kit on ebay for $20. We'll see how long it lasts lol
And same, I love the sound of HFPC with Jpipe. I've been tempted to swap out the mufflers for magnaflows, but I'm afraid of how loud it might be combined with those 2 mods... What custom work do you have on your exhaust?
Back in the day I had an RSX with just one magnaflow muffler and custom 2.5" piping from the cat back and it was DAMN loud. I used to set off car alarms just driving by.. definitely not going for that kind of sound again!

I had the CT E Axle back exhaust and J Pipe previously and I was really happy with that exhaust ,minimal drone and the sound was never intrusive in the cabin. However, after installing the HFPC it became too loud for my taste.
The custom work was done by myself, it took several attempts, mostly trial and error, some swearing and some frustration until I was satisfied with the tone. Not going into details for now but I will say that the idea was for it to look completely stock from the underside and it does.
At present the tone through gears 1 to 3 between 2k rpm to 5k rpm is very clean and completely drone free at any speed. The tips are from Corsa and accompanying hardware was all custom made to accommodate them since I wanted certain spacing without the use of Y Pipes.

I know you are all stored up for the Winter but looking forward to seeing some new goodies for the next season or those special mods that you come up with through the hibernation months.
