Your car is amazing sir. Only had tine to look at page 1 before typing this out. I recently oredered 3k HID Fogs for my TL. I also have a 2010 WDP SH-AWD.

So far I have Debadged all but the center Acura Emblem on the trunk. Tinted car with cermaic 18% all around accept windshield which is 50% ceramic. Going to continue to read your entire page.

Questions so far...
Has your back window lip still held up good and paint is true to rest of car?
Where you get the DRL LEDs? are they still holding up?
I went on http://www.teamsls.ca/ to find the pedals but have had no luck...any help on where to locate on website?

Keep it up and thanks for sharing your hard work.

Thank you for your kind words, really appreciate it.

To answer your questions, the rear window trim is holding up quite well so far, no discolouration or other paint damage. Very happy with it.

The DRls were purchased from http://store.ijdmtoy.com/ and I have had no issues to date with them.

It is possible that I was actually the first to post the pedals up and I did get the from Team Sls, however you can get them here and it is the best price I have seen so far

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Sport...314047573.html

I am not sure if it is the same quality as mine but for the price it is worth it.

Let me know if you have any further questions and good luck with your mods.

Very classy shots KK! The WDP color looks great with the sun just hitting it.

Are they pics with the sunrise? Or sunset?

So here is the beginning of a little project that I wanted to do for a while, managed to get my hands on a left side taillight and want to cut it open. I would like to black out the silver trim, tint the clear indicator red and leave a small clear for the reverse lights.

I am well aware that I can just do the vinyl tint that everyone else does or I can contact JNC and purchase a set of lights done the way I wanted it, that however would be no fun.

Couple of things you will need for this part of the project

1) Safety Glass or face shield
2) Long sleeve shirt
3) Dremmel tool and some cutting tips
4) Masking tape
5) Taillight
6) Patience and steady hands.

I haven't had much time to do anything else but I found out something that I didn't know. The back of the outer clear lens has a protective coating, I assume it is UV related.

The coating is at the back of this piece after the red lens are removed

Also, I am in the market for a right side tail light in order to complete the project. Hit me with a PM if anyone has one in working condition.

if you have TEIN all the way around - how do you get at the rears???

or do you just leave the rears alone and only change the fronts???

I assume you are referring to the dampening adjuster that i made for the front? if so, i intend to make a set for the rears. Most likely i will be running the EDFC eventually.

The adjuster is just something that was done on a whim, its not a priority because i am happy with the current setting.

So basically i went from stock as shown

to this after opening it up

one more to go then installation. The reason i am doing this is to tone down the rear end,i may also do a partial debadge but will decide on that after i have the lights done and installed.

the reflectors look weird.. did you make them look smaller by putting a half inch black thick border around the reflector?

No, only the silver bezel was painted in black. The lens are red with a small clear cutout for the reverse light. So there is the stock charcoal outer trim, the black bezel and then the red/clear lens.

Ahaha, i just realized that you are talking about the lower reflectors, sorry.

Yes, i have a border around it. Will see how it all come together when everything is completed.

Beautiful mod KK, they look super clean.

Seems like a lot of work but the results speak for itself. I don't mind the vinyl tint but this is leaps and bounds beyond that.

These were taken the same evening as the previous pictures and gives a comparison between the silver bezel and the black that i am working on.

Once i have the right side completed and installed i will also do a partial debadge to clean up the rear some more.

Flows really nice with with the tinted reflectors. They look really slimmed down, never liked the oversized reflectors on the 09-11. But yours are clean!

did you install the ice box???

i like how those tail lights look! i wonder if you could have got a similar look by just spraying them with a smoke tint on the outside??? on a former car, I had the tails sprayed..and they ended up looking similar to yours.. a light coat leave sthem looking red but with that dark smoked look....

overall, i like the rear end. that black border on the reflectors kind of looks nice..since you blacked the tail ligths it all works

Yes,the Ice Box was installed a while back.
I replied to your previous question about the performance of it,not sure if your saw it or not. You can feel better throttle response throughout the entire rev range and i am happy with it.

I didn't want to spray the outside of the lens due to the possibility of scratches etc, didn't mind the vinyl tint either. I feel that the way i did it gives it a factory appearance rather than an add on.
It was a lot of work and the possibility of other issues exist, time will reveal its durability. However, for now, i am extremely satisfied with the finished product and that is coming from someone who is very meticulous about the way things are done.

Pics of the end results will be coming soon.
