Would have liked to have had the quad tips on my car, but, c'est la vie. jcn2000, that is a beautiful piece of work you've got there. Might I suggest some chrome bulbs to eliminate that orange glob (or egg yolk) look from your front and rear turn signals? Or not.

Love the car, my favorite WDP for sure. The one thing I would do next is get your headlights done to color match your wheels and trim. That would look amazing. Either way superb job.

He's asked me to do this project for him, as well as the tails. Going to be beautiful

If Marcus comes together with the ATLP project I think the quads will complement the rear of this car perfect. It's just the look I'm after. I'm holding out, but growing impatient. I know ATLP used to sell the mufflers only... maybe Marcus will do the same and I can do something custom.

As for everything else I have planned. As I've said before headlight and tails will be done. But I'm on the hunt for projectors. Specifically, a hybrid setup... which hasn't been done on here before but is small enough to fit in the OEM housing and has an aggressive of enough foreground limiter as the OEM to prevent any issues... I wont say anything more than that for now. Hopefully, this will pan out...

I saw your car at Night Under Fire this weekend. The whole car flows so nice, and those wheels are sickk. It gave me a lot more motivation to save up and hopfully get a 4th gen of my own. What did your best run end up being and how far did you get? All three of my buddies were out in the first round so I didn't get to see any of your runs besides the first one durring the day, which it didn't look like you got a very good jump on. I did snap a couple of pics and took a vid of that first run if your interested. Not sure how any of it turned out yet though. Any who, just thought I would give you some props and it was good seeing a 4th gen putting in some work on the track .

Car would not launch for anything (at first ... First one sucked, Second time trial was better, but still not perfect. I'll be out at Quaker Raceway soon. I appreciate the support man! Considering the first run was my first ever with the AWD, and at Norwalk I was quite disappointed... I wish I had my camera. It was a learning experience to say the least.

I red lighted both time trials, but after I got into the brackets I was golden.

FTR, the left lane was much sticker and moving faster than the right lane. In each of my runs I was consecutively able to shave a full second off of my ETAs and trap speed with my best coming in my final run.

I don't want to give out numbers yet.. trying to keep a log for myself, then put everything together in the end after I have the "build" complete.

Car looks stunning! Only issue I see is the stock color of the rear trim piece. Anyone with an RJ front grille should be compelled to paint the rear trim body color.

I had a really good body shop that I trust paint, and install the grill. I bought it prepped / primed and let him take care of it from there. After it's all said in done fit and finish are perfect.

Nope,

2010 6mt -- the 2012's no longer offer the Taupe interior which I absolutely love. Not to mention I prefer the aggressive styling / look of the 09-11 TL.

So if I wanted to re-use my RJ grill, and transfer all my parts, I had to find essentially the same car... but in MT form. So I ended up with a 2010 6MT WDP Taupe w/ 14k miles

I know it's a bad picture as it was taken with a camera phone... but...

I am indeed! -- but I'm not the first person on this board to buy two of the same cars and do a full part(s) swap :P

Indeed I do... I missed driving a manual. I couldn't find one when I bought mine less than a year ago, so I waited... and waited... until the right opportunity came along. Numbers worked, and I pulled the trigger.

What are you going to do with all the sound deadening you installed on the AT; un install, reinstall?

All of it will stay... I have more then enough sound deadening at my disposal at any given time that re-using it is the least of my worries.

First things first though is cleaning her up. The previous owner did not know / appreciate what he had. It's quite sad...

A good day of detailing is in order.... inside and out.

Brian,

Bumpers are the same... but I will need to have the grill repainted as the WDP on this TL is different then my old one. I'll also need to swap the full fog light shroud and housing as I need my gunmetal shrouds... likewise with all the other trim pieces on the car. It's going to be quite the tear down.

Once the old TL is back to stock form then it'll be sold...

but dont you need to switch the bumpers, you cant take off the lip kit, because it is going to have the holes from the install, unless your getting a new kit..

Started with the part swap last night... Manifold, TB, TB spacer, P2R gaskets and Intake runners, and SRI all got transferred over to the 6MT SH-AWD....

Donor car....

Transferred over...

Sorry no pics of the process...

If someone wants to see something specifically let me know I can snap a picture...
