Those Concavo wheels look nice and clean. Too bad they don't come in 19's.

I forget the thread but members have asked me about spacers, particularly what size to get and from who to get them. I have 21mm spacers made by motorsport tech, and wouldn't recommend getting anything smaller on stock wheels with 55mm offset. Currently with the spacers my tire is almost flush with the fender. I would suggest getting them a littler larger maybe 25mm but I'm don't know where the wheel would sit if you did.

After a wash, clay, wash, wax:

If I have to use wheel adapters again I would do 25mm all round.

The best set of spacers I've seen was Nexson's when he did 20mm in the front and 25mm in the rear... The stance was perfect...

If I could do it again I'd probably keep the 21mm in the front and 25mm in the rear.

Thank you! Whats up? Your number still the same? Neither can I, the wait is killing me and the money is burning a hole in my pocket. I sold it because I had a few accidents and this car came along for a great price. I was able to sell my car for a lot and get this for a really great price.

The stance on your car is perfect to me. Do you know how much lower you went with the Tein's? Running a camber kit?

In comparison to the H&R no, but I know this car is lower. I'm sure there is a way to measure how much you're lowering it when you are. We went with what looked right, drove it around, let it settle, adjusted, repeat and stayed at that height.

I really need to take more, especially now that I blacked out most the trim. So far this has been a very busy summer for me .

I wish we had more time... the car could have come out even better. If it wasn't for the weather, we could have done a side by side before and after mod pictures since my car is completely stock. lol

Damn, that pic in your garage may have officially changed my mind about blacking out the headlights. I don't know what it is about that pic but it looks great.

Did you end up getting the clear bra? I actually removed the portion on my hood this past weekend. It was a bitch to get off, and the glue residue was even worse...but it looks SOOO much better now. I couldn't stand that line across the hood and there was portions of it that were distorted. I plan to finish removal (fenders / bumper cover) sometime over the next few weeks. Just curious if you did get one and how you like it.

I'm literally a few days from ordering some wheel spacers for my TL. I have OEM 19s, just like your wheels..but I am dropped on H&Rs, not Teins... so my drop is probably a tad less agressive than yours..

i see you have 21mm all around. other people are saying do 25mm all around.

I have informally measured the wheel gap - both front and rear - and it seems to me like the front end needs to come out less.. which is why I think people like Nexson did 20/25

i could maybe see doing 21/25 if you have 21 and think it looks good...

what is the consenus here... between the choices:

20/25
21/25
21/21
25/25

I'm leaning toward Nexson's setup which was 20/25 or maybe doing 21/25 ... but not sure 25 all around would look ok or if the fronts would look like they stick out.

thanks.

from the one pic where i can kind of see the front wheel at a partial angle.. it looks like your front wheels could stand to come out a bit more and they woudl be flush... the rears look like they need to come out a bit.. i can see where 25mm would look better than 21mm in the rear..

from yoru pics, it's hard to tell if the front would look TOO far out on 25s?

i'm curious if you think 25 all around would look better... or if they need to be staggered to be totally flush?

Thank you. I ended up not getting a clear bra because top tier shops recommended against it. Other shops who seemed more interested in getting the work than making my car look better and have more protection didn't mention the con's of getting a clear bra. My primary concern was that since I bought the car with 20k miles, the front bumper already had some mild damage from hwy driving. Any preexisting damage will only be more visible with a clear bra. So in the future if I get a clear bra it will be from the dealership, to a detailer, to a clear bra installer. As far as your patient looking better or worse with it in, that's subjective but quality of the film has a lot to do with clarity; 3M is notoriously bad clear bra film for clarity.

I hope to take some pictures of my blacked out trim this weekend to show off my paint.

H&R will give you a very nice aesthetically speaking drop, I had them before and like it; they will ruin ride quality. There's definitely room in the rear for the wheel to stick a little further out, in the front there's a tiny bit as well. If I were ordering spacers again I'd get 21mm front and 25mm rear. 20mm front is even less aggressive, 21mm all around isn't aggressive enough in the back and I'm not sure how 25mm front would look, but I really hate it when the wheel comes out past the fender.

The shop that installed mine didn't do the greatest job, there was a spot or two that were distorted. In addition, since they didn't do the entire hood there was a line across it where it stopped. That may not look bad on a light color car but it looked horrible on CBP.

Since I got it installed free of charge I wasn't going to complain, but I'm happy I took it off. I think you made a wise decision.

It's not mine, it's my parents. But since you're a smart ass and like to reference fancy things. You might want to search what a vax-d machine is. That's an old one we replaced next to my car, it was 80k new. We recently got another

Nexson recently painted a new set for me since the trim around the "A" has a chip. I haven't had time to replace it with the new one but I'll take some tomorrow in day light with the current trim.

Thank you. Yea I put my work in quickly, on the down low .

Not that my car can even reach a Ferrari 458's ankles but the 458 has 3 exhaust pipes, one for around town driving and then all three open up when you change the driving mode or WOT. If you've heard it driving around town you wouldn't know the beast of an engine/power that lurks in the trunk. I see my TL like that ATM. There's zero drone, car isn't loud during startup. The only time you hear the car is during WOT, and it sounds amazing. In comparison to my setup with XLR8, which I feel as though it personified "bark worse than bite". In it's own right it also sounded amazing but that's not something I'd want again on a daily driver.

Edit: I feel as though the 5spd AT is faster than the 6spd AT, after mods and I don't know which mods provided the largest gains since I installed all of them on the same day.
Curious. You feel the 5spd tranny shifts faster or you feel the overall car (with same mods) is faster outright than the 6spd?

This is the first I ever heard this. I would presume 6 gears more closely spaced would out accelerate 5 gears as torque multiplication is slightly greater on the 6spd. Not referring to manual transmission btw. I think you answered this above but still curious.

Also, why RV6 j pipe over the XLR8? I think the merge collector on the RV6 is 3.0 inch versus 2.75 inch on the XLR8. They seem quite similar.
