Going lower and lower

Just wanted to post this pic of my latest little addition. So like many people here with Tien Coilovers I was not happy with the maximum lowness of the Tien Coilovers so I decided order a pair of springs that will give me an additional 1" lowness to the Tien Coilovers. As you see this is my new height but I actually had to raise it a bit as 1" in addition to the maximum lowness of the coilovers made me scrap everywhere. This is the perfect height I found and looks clean.

Enjoy!

what springs did you go with?

coilovers, more specifically, the shocks are valved to that specific spring that came with it.

Looks good. Haven't seen you post your car in awhile. You clearing speed bumps and driveways at that height? That's why I raised mine up a tad. Wanted that clearance so I wasn't scraping everywhere.

I love those wheels but I'm partial to 5 stars. Its funny that you went with other springs that allowed you to go 1 inch lower than the "stock" TEINS but ended up using the same height as the "stock" TEINS. Do you plan on pulling the fenders so you can use that extra inch of lowness?

I don't think he will because he said he was scraping around everywhere. Kinda like my BC Racing coils. I got the extreme drop kit and my rears are sitting almost at max height and still tuck tire lol. I could easily put the chassis on the ground.

Hi everyone thanks for the response.

My mechanic inquired with Tien to see what would give it the best ride and keep it safe on the road. Currently I am lower than the maximum lowness of Tien coilovers but can still go lower with the new springs.

Here are the pics of the fenders.

I went with 12k front and 8k rear. Wanted a mix between street and track use and not be riding extremely stiff. I've ran their factory spring rates which were good on my TSX. But I wanted to a little stiffer to compensate for the 20's plus if I throw my stocks it'll be ready to track. They are the same as if I wanted to run the swift springs as far as stiffness for less money. Rides perfect to me.

@ruzty those are some flat fender lips.

just some info for you fellas:

kg/mm to lbs/in
-----------------------------
16 = 896
15 = 840
14 = 784
13 = 728
12 = 672
11 = 616
10 = 560
9.0 = 504
8.5 = 476
8.0 = 448
7.5 = 420
7.0 = 392
6.5 = 364
6.0 = 336
5.5 = 308
5.0 = 280
4.5 = 252
4.0 = 224
3.0 = 168
2.0 = 112

I suspect factory rates are somewhere in the 3-400's.

Nice. Could never do something like that here, between the winter roads, the ensuing potholes, and then road construction that commences as soon as the potholes are fixed.

Any lower and you'll have to carry the wheels on a Thule.
