DIY Licence Plate Frame

Never liked the licence plate frame from the dealer, looked boring. But didn't want to remove it from the licence plate.
So, i decided to wrap it with carbon fiber vinyl.

Gotta give credit to AznTL. Bought the vinyl wrap from him. They are very high quality vinyl.

Looks great! I prefer the frameless look, but it's a great custom touch.

Looks good-you should have covered the dealership's name too. I wouldn't advertise them unless they're paying you to do so.

I wanted to cover the dealer's name, but in order to do so i have to even the letters out to the same level as the plate surface. I didnt have to tool to do so, and sanding it would have taken forever.

I know what you mean. If you Google carbon fiber license plates (or even search them on EBAY), you can find exactly the same thing you've done-without the dealer's name on it.

I'm just not a fan of having any dealership's name on my cars. They all put their names on there without asking if we'd mind if they do it....so that's always my very first mod for any car.

Since i only wrapped one of the frame, i am probably gonna purchase a new frame online later on. Never liked anything with the dealer's name on my car.

At least Acura dealers don't glue those awful dealer badges on their automobiles like Ford and GM dealers do. At least none of the Acura dealers in my area do.

The dealers in my area don't do it either. It would look awful to have the dealer's name badge on the car.

just wanted to ask...when there's no rear license plate frame, are there square holes cut into the bumper behind the plate? i hope that's normal. i just have not been able to compare with other TLs out there.
