Thanks for the support. Ya I dont actually remember the jolt of the collision too much. I think the weight of the car helped.

I made the mistake of self-reporting the collision... i definitely should have called the cops to the scene.

Gibby...OMG that hurts so much! I was involved in a similar experience with someone hitting my previous car (back in 2002) and had no insurance....its like being victimized twice. On a side note, I lived in Thunder Bay in the past, great place to live!

Ya im really kicking myself for not calling the cops to the scene. Honestly i was just pissed and not thinking properly. Im covered for uninsured drivers but im out a $300 deductable. My insurance company will go after her, if they can get the money from her I get the deductable back. Chances are she wont have the money since she was driving a 97 626 and has an address in a bad part of town.

 

Thunder Bay is great... not too big or small. Its been named the murder capital of Canada for several years lol (highest murder rate per capita) but I havent had any problems. I think Winnipeg is worse for gang related issues.

Sigh, I know where you're coming from; every time someone has hit me in the past I've gotten so angry I want to fight...was almost arrested once.



Edit: never been in an accident with an uninsured driver but you should especially call the police on them because they're knowingly driving without insurance and if something happens its usually the other party who if F'd!
