Back in a TL!

I sold my 3G, 6spd, Anthracite Metallic TL back in 2012 as it was pushing 150k miles. It was such a great and fun car, I've missed it since I sold it. So, last week, I went and picked up this '11 TL.

It's a CPO car. Very clean, 39k miles, auto, sh-awd, tech, black interior, etc. Finally found one with the wheels that I wanted as well. This is going to make a great commuting and driving car and I'm really looking forward to a few good years with this one as well.

Plans, at this time, include the Progress rear sway bar (already on order). I plan to have the outside of the beak painted and leaving the center portion silver. I may paint the little silver trim piece near the trunk as well.

Here's a quick pic I took when I was bringing it home the other night. Was at the dealership for 4 hours!!

Nice TL not sure why they changed the 5 stars in 2012 i always liked the 09-11 wheels better.

Hey dude! I actually got rid of the STI last summer. That was definitely the best handling car I've ever owned. I put a ton of suspension mods/bushings on it and such. I kept having problem after problem with the car and kept having issues with Subaru not wanting honor the warranty. Finally, I put it back to stock and sold it off. I picked up an '07 Z06 the next week. All the while I missed the TL, I started shopping for this about three months ago and finally came across this car. I got a killer deal on it, plus with trading the vette I got to put a good chunk of change back in the bank.

Sorry to here about the Subi... I was actually considering getting a 2015 because of the upgrades that were made. However I've had my 06 TL since new so I will probably hold onto her until the tranny explodes! What kind of issues were you experiencing with the sti?

Electrical issues. One after the other, too. I kept that car for just about a year before I couldn't take it anymore. Another couple of things influenced that decision, the cabin was VERY loud. The gas mileage was absolutely terrible. I drive from VA/FL frequently. At 75mph, it was at 3k RPM and I was averaging 19MPG. Now I hear guys saying that they get 25MPG on the highway but that's either BS or they're driving 60MPH haha. I have other complaints about the interior and such as well but it was a learning experience. I'll never buy another Subaru again.

Welcome back, great choice on the TL AWD. I said it once and I'll say it again, the Acura TL doesn't over achieve or neither under achieve it's just a good reliable sedan.

Welcome back to Honda/Acura! Lol.

What year was the STi TheDingo? I ask because I'm looking at getting an 09-14 STi Wagon...trading/selling the 04 6.0 Powerstroke (we have no more desert toys, so no need for this beast anymore)...either way my MPG will be going UP on this trade

It was an 11 Sti sedan limited. Limited just means it had leather, bbs wheels and a couple other different things over the base.

Love seeing more CBP's. Get that grille painted and you'll love it even more! Check out my progress thread for a few pics of the painted grille.
