Arrow Alexander's 2010 TL SH-AWD Tech

Well finally after owning the car since January i've gotten to where i wanted to be visually, and at the same time found some availability to snap a few decent photos

Nothing you haven't really seen before but i think all of the details came together really well.

Before you ask this car is not lowered and will not be in the foreseeable future - all of the decisions visually have been with that in mind.

Here's a quick list of what i've done:

Exterior
OEM Optional Underbody Kit
Painted CBP Front Grille & Rear Trim (thanks Nexson)

Lighting
Headlights: Gloss Black w/ Flat Black Ridges, TSX-R Lenses & Custom Cutoff Shields (thanks JNC)
Tail Lights: OEM 2012
LED Rear Plate lights

Wheels
Front: Work Varianza Schwert SC1 R-Disk w/ Step Lip 20x8.5 +34
Rear: Work Varianza Schwert SC1 O-Disk w/ Step Lip 20x8.5 +32
Tires: 255/35/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport

I'm going to keep this thread current with any updates to the car - I have a few things planned but they're really just details.

I'd hit it, and come for seconds. I love it!

Are you happy with your tire size choice?

Thanks guys, really happy with the car. I'm in upstate NY.

As for the tires, I haven't broken them in yet but the steering response and feedback is near telepathic, reminds me of my Evo MR with the OEM Advan's... Incredible tire so far.

I've considered removing the "ACURA" and "TL" badges but for now I'm appreciating the OEM look - I didn't want there to be too much focus towards the bottom of the rear of the car.

Up next on the chopping block:

Painted calipers (black)
RDX caliper covers test-fit front & rear

The more I look at your car the more I it. It's pretty similar to mine yet has a lot of subtle differences. Tastefully done!

You should paint the hubs when you do the calipers.

Looks great! I also think you should remove the trunk badges. Have you considered a tint on the windows?

Once you get familiar with "popping" the clips on the rear bumper to remove it, its fairly easy. Takes a little determination your first time around.

Considering how dark the car is i actually like the contrast between the crystal clear windows and the rest of the body - If it was a lighter color, say white, i would definitely do a light 50% tint. Still considering it but its not something i'm itching to do.

You'll notice i didn't do any close up shots of the wheels/brakes on purpose - they are in dire need of paint. The RDX caliper covers are for test-fit purposes and there's a chance they may actually look good, as long as its not tacky i'm all for experimentation.

Good call, definitely on the fronts - the rear oem silver coating seems to be holding up well so far.

To add to the list of this weeks goals:

Lighting
Light output/close cutoff shots of JnC's TSX-R Lens & Custom cutoff shield results.
Before/After with the new Philips Xenon X-tremeVision D2S 85122XVS1 bulbs.

We did Matt's yesterday check out his thread he just droped a pic, Painted the Calipers, and Tops and Center's of the Rotors black... Then he went back and did some dark teal over the black on the calipers came out pretty tight... all black is a chinch... Duplicolor Caliper Paint you can get some on the stopping surface just try to get as little as possible... do one side then drive a couple of miles braking alot to a stop... the calipers with pop for a while till you burn off the paint... it'll cut perfectly circlular lines in the paint...

Alex, glad you listed your car in the AcuraZine Black Market.

Why are you selling? You just got it where you like it!

My daily driver just got a complete overhaul and i barely drive the TL, its just like a jewel sitting in my garage - while i'm absolutely in love with it i'm in a position to downsize and i'd much rather someone else enjoys it
