At first I thought they were vossen, they like just like cv3.

Few more upgrades done:

J-Pipe installed
ATLP exhaust installed
Lowered the car a bit more
12" sub and amp installed

Still to come:
- modify the ATLP exhaust it does not line up equally in exhaust cutouts on a 2012+
- possibly install a resonator, the exhaust sounds unbelievably good but it is on a loud side.
-CT Ice box air intake, when/if they become available
-Throttle body spacer. Already have it just want to do air box and the spacer at same time
-Light weight pulley
- if budget permits upgrade rest of speakers and install amps.

Some pics after a wash and wax with the new exhaust:

This is the one showing how the tips are not equally spaced in the cutout. One side has maybe a 1/4" the other well over 1.5"

Love the Vossens.

sympley 08-20-2013 03:22 PM

Finally go the resonators installed, and got the tips fixed up. Got them spaced more apart, lowered just a tad, and sticking out a bit more.
Looks so much better, and no more burning paint on the bumper:

Nice freakin' car. I want an exhaust system so bad but I want wheels first.

Haven't seen the vossens with a +45 offset. Generally they are +42 in our fitment. 255 30 would have also fit if next time you want a lighter stretch.

You should get the Matte Graphite center caps and darker lugs.

Looks Great!

Matt, they aren't Vossen's... with the +45 it's about 3mm away from ours.. but I don't see why they pushed you to a matching tire all the way around... are you running a camber kit with 0 camber? Matt's running +42 with 255/30's and no rubbing with a couple degree's of camber and i'm running 285/25/20's on my wifes with about the same camber... only rubbed hers once when she slammed a step up on the interstate at 80... we're both running S Techs so you're a bit lower but as the car comes down it should camber in. Nexxson was running 285/30/20's in the rear on +42 10.5's he did have to roll the rears and was crushed on Tein Coil Overs... Once you get rolled you can go back to a 275 or 285 30 I think Nexxson said had he done it again he's go with the 275

User Error, reason for 245 wide is because I wanted to keep the proper ratio between the tires for the all wheel drive.

Having said that I could have gone 255 all around, my mistake it was a hectic decision making. I know you guys know your stuff very well but I am not too sure if I can fit 275 in the back(I would love to fit that size). I already have rolled fenders and I can barely fit my fingers between the tires and the fender. If I am not mistaken the difference between 245 and 275 is 3cm. I do not have 3 cm between the fender and the tire.

You have 285' on TL? When they put on the 285's on my rims they were sticking out quite a bit, guess estimate almost an one inch on the back.

I definitely don't have 0 camber, not sure what the amount is but it is noticeable.

I am suspecting that maybe the offset is not really +45 but higher offset therefore the rims sticks out more.

It would be sick to fit 275 or even a 285 in the back.

Dude, nice adjustment on the pipes.

Oh wow Brain Fart, the AWD didn't register with my brain... yeah I get what you were going for with the same tires size now... When you said the 285 was over an inch out you talking hanging over the wheel (no stretch)? What kinda tires were those? The Perrelli 285/25's i'm running have a mild stretch pushing out to the 10.5 wheel... You being AWD might be the difference as well all the research I did was on FWD's since that's what I was building for the wife.. Her's, Matt's, and Nexson's were all FWD... That rear end being active might push the wheel out closer to the quarter panel dunno never played with one to know. Check out Carrie's Thread she's running 10.5 Vossen's @ +42(I believe) all the way around front and rear. Might give you some insight.

User Error 08-23-2013 12:50 PM

Check out my build thread post 217 on the last page shows the rear tires pretty well... you can see the mild stretch on the 285/25 in the rear...

Its been a while but finally got some more upgrades done:

- CT Ice box air intake, very nice fit.
-Throttle body spacer.
- Sprint Booster (hate to admit but it kicks ass)
- got my wheel faces re-painted and curb rash fixed. Can't wait to put them on once it gets warmer.

Already have my light weight pulley but can't find a shop that will install it :annoyed:
Also want to get the HFPC's.
And the big one if the arguing about this Apexi Neo stops and if we get some concrete info I would definitely put one in. Even to tweak things a bit it might be worth it.

I got my ice box from Heeltoe Automotive :: Specializing in High Performance, Customer Service, and Consultation For Distinctive Honda & Acura Clients. Purchased it last year. Took a while to get. I don't recall the shipping but it wasn't too bad. The duties were a good chunk.
