I went to a dealership and took some more close up pictures of the TL they had in their showroom.

























still need time to get used to it, but it's growing on me quickly....
by the way, they've fixed the mismatch paint between bumpers and body now, they actually match pretty well.

 

Man that grille is big!

Look at the far end of the seat, the leather is all misaligned and bunched up, this is a problem I had on both my 08 Type-S cars and see more and more on Acura, who the hell is making their seat covers. Again I mention this is a $40K car with poor interior workmanship. The one I saw in showroom the drivers outer side bolster looked like what I woudl expect from a 1-2 year old car and it was only in the showroom a week or two.

hehehe...no, those are just lighting from the dealership.
remember the car wasn't on in the showroom.

The spot lights on the interior are LED now and fade on/off.. no more halogen bulbs!!

In regard to the seats... are they two tone?What's going on with the leather colors there?

 

No, it's not two-tone......it's the perforated seat cushions and seat backs that gives it that appearance.

 

Hmm, I figured that the flash from the camera caused such weird discoloration.

 

wow, that's a lot of hard looking plastic in the center stack and inside door handles. I am hoping that looks better in real life.

 

I must say it is growing on me since this is my favorite color combo. The grill is still too big IMO.

 

It is two-tone because there is leather and pleather. The pleather is the brownish looking ones. The real leather is the darker color one. It the same areas as the 3G TL.

 

plastic handles!!! why all acuras RDX, MDX, TL have plastic door handles - it looks shitty, event in honda odyssey we have metal ones, WTF is happening to Honda's luxury division?

 

terrible interior color, after experiance 3G black interior,I am tired of Acura black interior, which is not sporty enough, but boring, lacking of culture.

 

Similar amount of plastic as in the MDX. Flash photography just ruins thing, honestly.

 

Are they really metal? or just Chrome plated plastic?

 

i think the reason being they put the side mirrors controller there....
