I just realized I gave the wrong links for the test pipe and high flow third cat. Here are the correct links (maybe a mod can edit them for me):

Or you can put in your billing address and send us an email with what shipping address you want with a scan of an official proof of residence or employment, i.e. pay stub, utility bill, license, etc

Finally got my order to go through after no less than five calls to my bank to change my billing address. I was this close to giving up on the order lol. It's not xlr8's fault, my stupid bank's fault :P. Anyway, I'm excited to get these products on. (hi-flo cat, j pipe) Are there any install suggestions or tips that aren't already mentioned on this or prepreludeish's thread?

J-Pipe installed
Yesterday I received my XLR8 J-Pipe and rushed home and installed it! It took me about 1.5 hours to get the J-pipe on. It would have taken way less time except that I there are two bolts that are very hard to get to, I couldn't get to them with a ratchet, I had to use a small wrench and hand tighten them which took awhile, one was this bolt which you can see the tubing is blocking it.
The other bold was the top bolt leading to the third cat, the bendable part of the J-pipe sits just close enough to negate being able to use a ratchet on it, so again I had to use a small wrench and hand tighten it which wasn't terrible, but it took way longer. I couldn't angle my camera to get a shot of the actual bolt, but if you look at the picture below, it's the top bolt behind the flexible tubing.
The only other issue that I had while installing, was that I had to give the J-pipe a little leverage from a breaker bar to get all of the connections to line up as the connection closest to the front was just a hair off of going on once the other two connections were seated on. Nothing to complain about, just a heads up.
Here it is all bolted on.
I have the Acura Service manual, which reccommends using all new self-locking nuts(part no. 90212-SA5-003) as well as the reccommended torque and the correct tightening sequence for the connection to the third cat, here is a pic of the page from the service manual.
I didn't get to drive the car around last night, but this morning I got to, there is definitely a difference in the sound, a nice raspy growl on acceleration which goes away once cruising, which I am ecstatic about! Also, there was a burning smell which has seemed to go away, I'm hoping that it was just the gaskets burning off some chemical since the smell is gone after a 45 minute drive.

Question for everyone...
Quick question to everyone: did any of you get a vibration + noise/drone around 1500-2250 RPM?
My mechanic installed the J-pipe friday and while any bad smell went away quickly, I still have a nasty vibration + noise/drone around 1500-2250 RPM when accelerating. It goes away when cruising so I'm a little confused...
Beside that, the craftmanship and quality seemed top notch to me.
I'm waiting a week or 2 before posting comments about mpg, performance gains and such but so far, it's very impressive! Kudos to Josh for offering this possibility to all 4G AWD drivers!
Thanks a lot!

^ I think I noticed that with the J-Pipe when I first had it installed, although now that I've had it on a couple of days all I notice is the awesome growl it produces when I'm accelerating. I'll listen for a drone when I'm driving, but I don't think I have any at this point.

I have barely noticed that growl. I can tell it's there, but it's so faint that you couldn't even audio record it. So all of the requests for an audio clip really wouldn't show anything?

So I was anxiously awaiting the delivery of my J-pipe and Hi-flo cat for most of the day today. After returning home from work I was a little worried that it had not arrived today. I checked my tracking number from UPS and it was scheduled to be delivered today. Finally I get a doorbell ring and I go open the door to find one of the most hilarious sights I've seen in awhile:
I opened the package to see what this could possibly be lol:
Rotora break pads. Don't worry, no hard feelings with xlr8, we're all human. After a call to the store, I received a call back from Josh who was more than courteous with my plight. I was assured I'd recieve the correct parts in a couple of days. Minor inconvience, good customer service.

I finally got my j-pipe and high-flo cat installed today. I tried to install it myself over the weekend but the cat bolts would not budge. I admitted defeat and had a muffler shop install them today for a modest fee. I don't know if it's because of the high-flo cat in addition to the j-pipe, but the growl is certainly noticeable to me even inside the cab. It's a nice, non-rice note that I can only really hear when idle and low rpm. I also have the takeda sri so that might add to the note as well. I am very pleased with both the sound and the slight increase of performance (it is noticable right away). Quality products!!

question for XLR8, would any of these parts fit an 09RL?
someone commented earlier that the RL has a true dual exhaust stock but I have no idea what it means...
I'm considering upping the exhaust mods if they fit.
Thanks.

It doesn't completely remedy the hesitation, but it does help it a LOT! Today was my first time really testing it out. You can tell it's there lol! A cat-back exhaust would round things out rather nicely, I just don't want an annoying exhaust note.

That dual pipe setup is part of the exhaust from the cat back. That is for the latest generation RL. In the very first flange of that dual midsection is actually a small pressure based flap that opens up at a certain level to the second exhaust pipe. It's designed to maintain back pressure at low RPM and then open up at higher. In that picture, it goes J-Pipe > Cat > Dual Mid Section > Dual Rear Section

We've had some great reviews on the hp and torque gain, MPG increase, and overall powerband improvement with these j-pipes.

Three Wheelin'
Just installed the j-pipe and test pipe this past weekend... silicone was still wet but I can't say how much of a difference these two make in the character of this car.
Test pipe and and j-pipe
The orange goop is hi-temp silicone for a proper seal. It burned off after a couple nice 3am runs
