Takeda Sri p0175 engine light
Hi im new the forums but have a 2010 acura tl 6 speed MT. The problem im having is i installed a takeda sri intake and it works great, only problem is sometimes after driving for a while when sitting in neutral (red light, parked idle) i get a check emmisions/check awd light come on. code is p0175 system too rich (bank 2). after turning car on and off now its just check emmisions and the check awd is now gone. If i undo the battery the code is gone and does not come back for a while but this problem keeps happening (ie, once or twice a month randomly while at idle in neutral). This problem has been happening for a few months now and so far i have added fuel cleaner to tank, cleaned the MAF, cleaned the throttle body, and taken off all couplers and back together to make sure it was all tight and no leaks. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Improperly designed intakes can throw the MAF readings off quite a bit causing too much or too little fuel to be delivered. The ECU tries to compensate, but will throw a code if it's constantly out of spec. Here's an example of that.
You can go back to factory or have the MAF curve tuned for your new intake.

I don't think it's very common for the TL to throw a code with the Takeda intake. I have one on my car and had zero issues, are you positive you installed everything correctly?
I've actually been considering removing mine, the sound is great but all my time is spent in the city and I'm not a fan of the low-end torque loss.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't the MAFs automatically adjust once the car has had the battery disconnected and reconnected?. You might have another issue going on.

I'm pretty sure you installed the intake improperly. I have installed 4 of these on TL's at my shop. Smoke test the intake system and check for leaks. This will throw a rich o2 code most of the time.
I've never heard of people needing to retune their MAF for a takeda intake.
You used proper cleaner for the maf and didn't touch anything against it right? Used electrical component cleaner or brake cleaner?
Spray fuel injectors with water/soap mixture to see if any were leaking?
Do all the fuel lines look ok?
No exhaust leaks?
Fuel pressure ok?

Im thinking it may be a coincidence that i installed the takeda and the codes started coming about a month after. Every time it happened i would disconnect the battery and it would be fine for another few weeks. I read on here in a thread someone just took to dealer and after code was erased because they could not pinpoint the problem it never came back. Since i erased code hopefully i have the same luck otherwise i will have to do the smoke tested and check the rest of the things you said. I used Super wash electronic spray for the MAF. I got to use for free from a mechanic who says thats all they use at the shop he works in for cleaning MAF and i did notice after the cleaning the MAF/throttle body the idle is alot better and smooth.

You can always try and reinstall the factory intake and see if the problem persists.

car is 58500 miles, and install factory intake is last resort i do like the takeda and other then an annoying engine light maybe 1-2 times a month if i cannot figure it out then yea i might go back. so far so good been a few days clean

i didn't go to the shop yet i decided to change the MAF sensor first to see if that is the cause. If the problem doesn't come back in the next month i think its fair to say its fixed but as for now the MAF has been in for 2 days. Ill keep updating whenever something comes up.
