Sluggish low and mid range???

Current setup:
- Takeda intake
- Rear muffler delete
- Tien s. Tech springs

Last week I deleted my rear muffler, and felt the car pulled a little hard in the vtech ... Everything else seemed the same though... I expected that. Today I installed my takeda intake, and was expecting a decent performance gain (as this is dyno proven). All I noticed was an orgasmic vtech sound... All about the sound, but almost feels like I lost some low end and mid ... And high end sounds fast but feels like I lost some power there too??? Would reinstalling mufflers help with that low end--> top end back pressure??? I'm planning on a j pipe in the near future (2 3/4" or 3" ???) any suggestions will help! Thanks

Auto or manual? It's more than likely due to the transmission of an automatic. They just don't shift as quick. I notice the same thing... just kinda live with it lol.

You could try installing the stock intake and see if you feel a difference.

I am aware that the growl from the Takeda is awesome and even addictive but personally i feel that it hurts performance, others might disagree but i trust my personal experience.

You will like the J Pipe, better yet, combine it with the HFPC. These are the two mods that i highly recommend for the TL.

I'm thinking about re installing the mufflers and seeing if that will help low end back pressure ... Really don't want to get rid of the takeda ... Sounds soooo good lol ... What j pipe do yall suggest rv6 vs xlr8??? Heard nothing but good from both! But which delivers a better gain?
Thanks!

both jpipes are engineered very similar to one another. they say one delivers the gains at different times, according to the dynos. however in the real world, you certainly wouldnt be able to tell which one delivers the horsies at 3500 RPM and which one delivers it at 4500 RPM

Exactly what Justin said.

As expensive and hard to get as the CT E Icebox is to get, it remains the best aftermarket intake, otherwise keep it stock unless the sound is most important to you.

There is now dyno to prove that Takeda loses low end and gains higher end RPM. The last thing I want to do is lose low end since I drive mostly city. But for ~500 I think I would rather buy a j pipe than an ice box
